myLike2 and burn the Like2

Latte' ~~ 260 calories!!!

a 16-ounce (medium) latte with sugary flavoring, even with nonfat milk, is still a bit of a guilty pleasure when it comes to calories in food. Exercise calories away with 30 minutes of biking. An hour of moderate weight training or resistance training will achieve close to the same result.

Small Fudge Sundae ~~ 392 calories !!!
small Baskin Robbin??!!

small sundae that you probably ate in under 10 minutes ~~ nearly 75 minutes in a spinning class to wipe out the calorie load of the . If you’d rather exercise calories away by making some home improvements, cleaning gutters around the house for the same amount of time will do the trick — and give you a great sense of accomplishment.

Slice of Pepperoni Pizza ~~ 290 calories !!!

One way to feel full with fewer slices is to load up on veggie toppings. Think green peppers, onions, and black olives instead of meats or extra cheese. But if you want to undo the calories in a slice of pizza, plan on 60 minutes of fast-paced ballroom or swing dancing. Or you could try 90 minutes of walking around the shopping mall or tackling vigorous cleaning chores at home.

Eat to BeatBelly Fat

SHARING2: Fat that accumulates around the vital organs and around the mid- section is known as visceral fat. It's the most harmful type of fat because it produces inflammation, which affects the rest of the body and leads to a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes and heart disease. To reduce weight in this area, it's important to go on a diet that includes plenty of fruits and vegetables, lean protein, low-fat dairy, and whole grains, and to reduce portion sizes and therefore caloric intake.

To lose one to two pounds per week, you'll need to reduce your caloric intake by 500 to 1,000 calories per day. To hasten the movement of visceral body fat, it's also important to exercise — aerobically and with weights — five or more times per week for 30 to 60 minutes at a time. Make sure your diet is high in fresh fruits and vegetables, lean protein, low-fat dairy, and whole grains and that your fat intake is mostly unsaturated, the kind found in olive and canola oils.

Incorporate cardiovascular exercise with resistance training. This will help you build lean muscle and lose as much fat as possible.

The good news: Most people tend to lose fat in the belly area first, then from other areas. Abdominal exercises will help tone your muscles but won't help you preferentially lose fat from the belly area.

burn more calories WALKING

You don’t have to be a professional athlete to reap the benefits of interval walking. It is said that alternate bursts of fast, intense walking with periods of slower and less-intense walking to allow your body to recover. In fact, by doing interval walking for about 20 minutes every other day, you can shift your metabolism into high gear so that you burn more calories and fat than if you were working out for 40 minutes at a steady pace.
BONUS: With interval walking, the higher the intensity of the exercise, the longer the afterburn; that is, you will continue to burn more fat and calories even after you stop exercising!

TIPS:  to help you get the most out of your interval-walking session:

Begin each session with a short walk at a slow or moderate pace. This allows your muscles to warm up before you start doing your intervals.

Be mindful of maintaining good posture while you’re walking. Tighten your abdominals and keep your chest lifted and your chin parallel to the ground (leading with your chin while walking can result in neck and back pain).

With each step, strike the ground from heel to toe and feel your buttocks (glutes) contract. This strengthens your buttocks and hamstrings (the backs of your legs) as you walk.

Remember that doing something is better than nothing. Start slowly, and then gradually increase your periods of intensity and total distance.

batter'ied' constipation pill ???

London  A vibrating pill capsule has been developed as a treatment for constipation.  Once its swallowed, the high-tech device is programmed to shake, jolt and roll as it passes through the bowel.  The wave of movement triggered by the battery-powered capsule stimulates the muscles that drive the natural movements in the bowel, easing constipation. T he device will be tested in human trials next month.  Researchers say that unlike other treatments for the conditions --such as some laxatives -- the single-use capsules has no side effects.

LoosenUp with exercise !!

SHARING2:

The Benefits of Exercising With Arthritis

Sure, you may still need medication, supportive braces, and other modes of treatment for arthritis, but exercise is also integral to any arthritis treatment plan because of the many benefits it offers.

Exercise can improve your arthritis symptoms by:

Reducing joint stiffness and pain

Keeping joints and muscles flexible

Strengthening muscles surrounding the joint for better support — less pain and strain

Strengthening bones and cartilage in the joints

Improving energy levels and quality of sleep

Keeping you fit and healthy

Improving your emotional health, managing stress, and combating depression associated with arthritis

Losing extra pounds that can contribute to arthritis pain

The benefits of starting an exercise routine are both immediate and long-term. Regular exercise can help you to feel healthier overall, it can keep arthritis symptoms at bay, and it may even keep symptoms from coming back by resolving the inflammation and stiffness that cause them. Some of the biggest complaints among people with arthritis — joint pain, joint stiffness, and lack of energy — can be addressed with one simple arthritis treatment: exercise.

Not every type of exercise is right for  arthritis, or that any particular exercise is right all the time. You have to pay attention to your body, and what your pain is telling you.

Exercise for people with arthritis can be broken into three basic types: resistance, cardiovascular, and range-of-motion exercises. Incorporating a variety of these types of exercises is the best way to improve joint health and reduce arthritis pain.

Resistance Exercises for Arthritis

Resistance exercises stretch and strengthen muscles with the help of resistance bands or light free weights. They can be done standing, lying on the floor, or sitting in a chair. Here are some good examples of resistance exercises that can help battle arthritis symptoms:

Lifting and straightening your leg from a seated position in a chair

Squats

Abdominal crunches

Hamstring stretches

Pushups

Cardiovascular Exercise and Arthritis

Cardiovascular exercises boost heart health and lung capacity, and make you work up a sweat. Good cardiovascular exercises for people with arthritis are:

Swimming

Walking

Biking

Dancing

Low-impact exercises that are easy on the joints

Range-of-Motion Exercises and Arthritis

Range-of-motion exercises improve the flexibility and movement of stiff joints. Recommended range-of-motion exercises to help people with arthritis include:

Yoga

Tai chi

Stretches (in or out of water)

Head tilts and turns

Hip rotations — try sitting in a chair and gently shifting your weight from side to side to loosen up hip joints

Finger massages and opening and closing of fingers

Shoulder and arm rotations — try holding your arms out and gently rotating them

Safety Issues and Exercise

When your arthritis is really acting up, it's not the time to force those flaring joints to work. Instead, stretch them out with only some light range-of-motion exercises, and skip the tougher stuff until you're feeling better.

Push yourself, but not to the point of pain. Pay attention to what your body is telling you — you want exercise to feel good and rewarding, not cause searing pain. If you're just starting out, remember to take your time. Slowly begin incorporating exercise into your day, and build up your level of exercise slowly.

Exercise can be a huge pain reliever for many people with arthritis. Just remember to take your time, and be cautious and selective about the types of exercise you do.

Fashion Freak~~anything for designer shoes !!

Pain is gain for British teen

London A teenager lied to doctors to qualify for a 5,000 pound (Dh29,969) operation on the NHS so she could squeeze her feet into designer shoes, she admitted on Sunday.

Hannah Bailey was referred to foot re-shapeing surgery at 19 after telling her GP she was in excrutiating pain.

In reality, she was simply frustrated that her "wide and ugly" feet prevented her from wearing latest fashions.

Surgeons broke her foot in four places, cut her tendons and ligaments and stapled two-inch screws to her bones - all so she could be comfortable in designer heels.

Exaggerated pain

Bailey, 23, said: "I knew the only way to get something done was to say my feet were really bad. I had to exaggerate pain I was in."

Since the taxpayer-funded surgery, she has spent around 9,000pounds on designer shoes, including her favorite Jimmy Choo heels. ...

Spring or "springtime" is seen as a time of growth, renewal, of new life (both plant and animal) being born. we are awaiting for the flowers to bloom which is also the sign of spring after the cold winter. In most part of the hemisphere the snows are melting.   As in Abu Dhabi it is either winter or summer. But the past few days, is it still winter ?? or as the gulf news says ....

garlands are made of flowers and pepatah mengatakan, Money don't grow on trees. Now it proves wrong for this family ...

New Delhi (AFP) The groom wore a garland made of bank notes and received a helicopter as a gift, there were 18,000 guests -- or perhaps 30,000 -- and 1,000 workers took 40 days to prepare the venue. .... that this had been one very big, very fat Indian wedding. The Times of India calculate the cost of uniting two influential political families at one billion rupees ($22 million), while the Mail Today went for the less conservative figure of $55 million.

"The Hindustan Times reported that at a pre-wedding ceremony last week 2,000 guest were each given a silver biscuit, a safari suit and $500 in cash."
